Agricultural Wages Act 1948 (C. 47)

To establish an Agricultural Wages Board and Agricultural Wages Committees.  

Functions exercisable solely by WAG or the National Assembly for Wales.

The following Ministerial functions are exercisable solely by the Welsh Ministers in relation to Wales namely:
  • sections 2 and 9: Ministerial powers in relation to agricultural wages committees.
  • section 11A: Power to appoint officers to act in Wales for the purposes of this Act; and power to, instead of or in addition to appointing any officers, arrange with any Minister of the Crown or government department, or any body performing functions on behalf of the Crown, that officers of that Minister, department or body shall act in Wales for those purposes.
  • section 12: Power to appoint officials to investigate complaints and to enforce the provisions of the Act.
