To facilitate the acquisition and maintenance of allotments and to make provision for the security of tenure of allotment tenants.

Functions exercisable solely by WAG or the National Assembly for Wales.
All the Ministerial functions contained in this Act are exercisable solely by the Welsh Ministers in relation to Wales namely: section 5: Power to permit a county or county borough to purchase land that may be required for allotments in the future. section 8: Power to permit sale or appropriation of allotment land by a county or county borough.
