To consolidate the law relating to ancient monuments and to provide for the inspection and recording of matters of archaeological interest and to regulate such activities.

The following Ministerial function has not been devolved to the Welsh Ministers in relation to Wales: the Treasury function under section 50. section 50: Application to Crown land. Any question regarding what authority can be assigned as appropriate authority, in relation to any land, that question shall be referred to the Treasury, who makes the ultimate decision.
