Litter Act 1983 (C. 35)

To make provision for the abatement of litter.

Functions exercisable solely by WAG or the National Assembly for Wales.
All the Ministerial functions under this Act are exercisable solely by the Welsh Ministers in relation to Wales namely: section 1: Power, with the Treasury consent, to make grants to a body which encourages the public not to place litter. sections 2 and 5: Power to amend or repeal local Acts which are unnecessary because of section 2 (duty of authorities to consult about litter) and section 5 (power of community councils with respect to litter).
