To make provision about the noise emitted from dwellings at night and the forfeiture of equipment used to make unlawful noise.

Functions exercisable solely by WAG or the National Assembly for Wales.

All the Ministerial functions under this Act are exercisable solely by the Welsh Ministers in relation to Wales namely:

section 1: Order applying Act to a local authority area.
section 5: Power to direct the permitted level of noise.
section 6: Approval of noise measuring devices.
sections 8, 8A and 9: Power to prescribe form a fixed penalty notice and change amount of fixed penalty. Power to prescribe qualifying functions for the purpose of the section. Power to require information. Power to make provision for what local authorities are to do with their penalty receipts.
