Public Health Act 1936 (C. 49)
To make provision about sanitation buildings and baths, bathing places watercourses.  

Functions exercisable solely by WAG or the National Assembly for Wales.

The following Ministerial functions under this Act are exercisable solely by the Welsh Ministers in relation to Wales namely:
  • sections 6 and 9: Power to constitute a joint board of local authorities for the purpose of the Public Health Acts.
  • section 82: Confirmation of byelaws for removal of offensive matter or liquid through streets.
  • sections 231 and 233: Confirmation of byelaws with respect to public bathing, swimming baths and bathing pools.
  • section 268: Confirmation of byelaws relating to tents, vans and sheds for human habitation.
  • section 269: Power to grant a camping or caravan organisations a certificate of exemption from requirements of local authority to licence land controlled by them.
  • section 270: Confirmation of byelaws in respect of persons employed temporarily to pick fruit or vegetebles.
  • section 303: Power to appoint an arbitrator for specified purposes under the Act.
  • section 318: Power to hold inquiries for purposes of the Act.
  • sections 322 an to 325: Default powers.
