Smoke Detectors Act 1991 (C. 37)

To make provision for fitting smoke detectors in new dwellings.

Functions exercisable solely by WAG or the National Assembly for Wales.
All the Ministerial functions under this Act are exercisable solely by the Welsh Ministers in relation to Wales namely: section 2: Appeal against refusal of local authority to direct that a dwelling need not be fitted with smoke detectors. section 3: Guidance as to smoke detectors. section 6: Power to modify any provisions in the Act if they are inconsistent with building regulations.
