Warm Homes and Energy Conservation Act 2000 (C. 31)

To require the Secretary of State to publish and implement a strategy for reducing fuel poverty; to require the setting of targets for the implementation of that strategy; and for connected purposes.

The following Ministerial functions under this Act are exercisable solely by the Welsh Ministers in relation to Wales namely: section 2: Power to prepare, publish and implement a strategy relating to fuel poverty, setting out the authority's policies for ensuring that as far as is reasonably practicable, persons do not live in fuel poverty. section 4 (3): Power to appoint the date on which Section 2 as respects Wales shall come into force, by order made by statutory instrument. The following Ministerial function is exercisable by the Welsh Ministers after consultation with other persons: section 1 (2): Power to make regulations (by statutory instrument) to specify the meaning of "fuel poverty", after consultation with persons representing the interests of persons living in fuel poverty and any other such persons they think fit.
