Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 (C. 49)

To amend and supplement the Immigration Act 1971 and the Asylum and Immigration Appeals Act 1993; to make further provision with respect to persons subject to immigration control and the employment of such persons; and for connected purposes.

The only Ministerial function under this Act which is exercisable by the Welsh Ministers in rlation to Wales is: section 9: Power to specify class of persons entitled to housing accommodation and assistance.
