Air Traffic Services (Exemption) Order 2001 No. 287 OPSI - Air Traffic Services (Exemption) Order
Summary: Section 3 of the Transport Act 2000 states that a person commits an offence if he provides air traffic services in respect of a managed area unless he is authorised to do so by an exemption granted under section 4 or by a licence granted under section 5. Article 3 of this Order authorises the provision of air traffic services, other than area control and information services provided from an area control centre. The authorisation does not extend to services provided by the holder of a licence granted under section 5. The authorisation is to last for 10 years.
