Home Repair Assistance (Extension) (Wales) Regulations 1999 No. 3084 (W. 35)

Summary:

Under the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 a local housing authority may provide home repair assistance in the form of a grant or the provision of materials for the carrying out of works of repair, improvement or adaptation to a dwelling. For entitlement to home repair assistance a local housing authority has to be satisfied that the conditions set out in section 77(1) of the Act apply. These include the condition that the applicant or the applicant's partner is in receipt of a benefit listed in subsection (1)(e). These Regulations enable income-based jobseeker's allowance to be treated as a benefit within that subsection.
