Care Standards Act 2000 (Commencement No. 14) (Wales) Order 2004 No. 1730 (W. 174) (C. 68)

Summary:

This order appoints 7 July 2004 as the day for the coming into force of certain provisions of Part II of the Care Standards Act 2000 for the purposes of regulations made under section 42 of the Act. Under section 42 of the Act, regulations may provide for the provisions of Part II to apply, with such modifications as may be specified in the regulations, to prescribed persons. When made, those regulations have the effect of bringing the prescribed persons within the regulatory framework of Part II of the Act, to be enforced by the National Assembly for Wales.
