Education (Information About Individual Pupils) (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2006 No. 30 (W. 4) OPSI - Education (Information About Individual Pupils) (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations
Summary: These Regulations make minor amendments to the Education (Information About Individual Pupils) (Wales) Regulations 2003 ("the 2003 Regulations") by-
(a) adding a new definitions of "school", substituting a new definition of "sixth form pupil", and adding a new definition of "school year";
(b) slightly altering the wording of paragraph 5 of Part 1 of the Schedule to the 2003 Regulations so that the governing body of a school will no longer be required to specify with whom a pupil speaks Welsh at home;
(c) altering the wording of paragraph 1 of Part 2 of that Schedule so that information which the governing body may be required to provide about sixth form pupils can include information about pupils who have left the school during the course of the school year; and
(d) slightly altering the wording of paragraph 21(c) of that Part so that the information which may be required about pupils' basic skills needs for literacy and numeracy will now include pupils' needs at the end, as well as at the beginning, of their learning activities programme.
