National Lottery etc. Act 1993 (Amendment of Section 23) Order 2006 No. 654

Summary:

Section 23 of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993 specifies the bodies that are to distribute sums paid into the National Lottery Distribution Fund. Subsection (2) deals with sums paid into that Fund and allocated for expenditure on or connected with sport.
This Order increases the percentage held for the United Kingdom Sports Council (known as UK Sport) from 9.2% to 22.8% and makes a corresponding decrease in the percentage held for the English Sports Council (known as Sport England). This Order also transfers �7 million from the amount held in the National Lottery Distribution Fund for distribution by Sport England to be held for distribution by UK Sport.
