Summary: These Regulations revoke the Feed (Corn Gluten Feed and Brewers Grains) (Emergency Control) (Wales) Regulations 2005 (S.I.2005/1323 (W.97), and make consequential amendments to the Genetically Modified Animal Feed (Wales) Regulations 2004 (S.I. 2004/3221 (W.277)) and the Official Feed and Food Controls (Wales) Regulations 2006 (S.I. 2006/590 (W.66)).
The Regulations implement Commission Decision 2007/157/EC repealing Decision 2005/317/EC on emergency measures regarding the non-authorised genetically modified organism Bt 10 in maize products (OJ No. L68, 8.3.2007, p.8).

Made Under: European Communities (Designation) (No. 2) Order 2003 (SI 2003/1246) - in relation to the common agricultural policy of the European Community and measures in the veterinary field for the protection of public health. There has been open and transparent consultation during the preparation of these Regulations in accordance with the requirements of Article 9 of Regulation (EC) No. 178/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down the general principles and requirements of food law, establishing the European Food Safety Authority and laying down procedures in matters of food safety.
European Communities (Designation) (No. 2) Order 2005 (SI.2005/1971) - in relation to measures relating to food (including drink) including the primary production of food and measures relating to feed produced for or fed to food-producing animals.
European Communities (Designation) (No. 4) Order 2003 (SI 2003/2901) - in relation to the control and regulation of the deliberate release, placing on the market and transboundary movements of genetically modified organisms.
