Asylum Support (Amendment) Regulations 2007 No. 863

Summary:

Regulations 2 and 4 amend regulation 3(3) of, and revoke the Schedule to, the Asylum Support Regulations 2000 so that there is no longer a requirement that the application form issued by the Secretary of State is the form shown in the Schedule.
Regulation 3 amends regulation 10(2) of the 2000 Regulations by increasing the cash amounts payable, as a general rule, in respect of a person's essential living needs. These changes take effect from 9th April 2007 and on that date the Asylum Support (Amendment) Regulations 2006, which set out the amounts previously payable, are revoked.
